PSYCHEDELIC TRANCEをアイデンティティとし、2002年にDJ活動を開始。
日本全国の主要クラブや大型フェスティバルで年間150本以上のDJセットを行い、その卓越したミックスワークとオリジナリティあふれるサウンドストーリーで多くのクラバーや音楽ファンを魅了し続けている。
イスラエルを拠点とし、Astrixが主宰する世界屈指のサイケデリック・トランスレーベル Shamanic Tales Records より、日本のパイオニアでありサイケデリック・トランス界のレジェンド TSUYOSHI SUZUKI との2曲入りEP 『Tsuzumi（鼓）』 をリリース。
本作は、今夏後半にリリース予定の TSUYOSHI SUZUKI & DJ YAGI 名義によるコラボレーションアルバムからの第一弾作品となる。
国内での評価も非常に高く、2018年、2019年、2022年、2023年、2024年、2025年には、日本最大級のEDMフェスティバル 「ULTRA JAPAN」 に計6回出演。
さらに2019年には、日本最大級の都市型音楽フェスティバル 「SUMMER SONIC 2019」 にも出演。
現在、日本を代表するPSYCHEDELIC TRANCEアーティストの一人として、国内外で精力的な活動を続けている。
DJ YAGI began his DJ career in 2002, establishing Psychedelic Trance as the core identity of his musical journey.
Performing more than 150 DJ sets annually at major clubs and large-scale festivals throughout Japan, he has earned a reputation for his exceptional mixing skills and immersive sound storytelling, captivating dance floors with his unique musical vision.
DJ YAGI recently released the two-track EP “Tsuzumi (鼓)” on Shamanic Tales Records, the world-renowned Psychedelic Trance label based in Israel and headed by Astrix, in collaboration with Japanese Psychedelic Trance pioneer and legendary artist TSUYOSHI SUZUKI.
The EP serves as the first release from the forthcoming collaborative album by TSUYOSHI SUZUKI & DJ YAGI, scheduled for release later this summer.
Recognized as one of Japan’s leading Psychedelic Trance DJs, DJ YAGI has performed at ULTRA JAPAN on six occasions (2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025), one of the country’s largest EDM festivals.
In 2019, he also performed at SUMMER SONIC, Japan’s premier international music festival.
Today, DJ YAGI continues to represent the forefront of Japan’s Psychedelic Trance scene, performing both domestically and internationally while expanding his presence on the global stage.
