サイケデリックトランスのジャンルをアイデンティティとしてDJキャリア2002年にDJ活動を開始。
日本全国の主要クラブやフェスで年間 150 本以上のDJ SETをPLAY する。
フロアのバイブをロックするその卓越した MIX ワークとオリジナリティー溢れるサウンドストーリーが高く評価されている。

2018 年、2019 年、2022 年、2023 年には国内最大規模の EDM のフェスである 【ULTRA JAPAN】 に 4 回連続出演。
2019 年、日本最大規模の総合音楽フェス【SUMMER SONIC 2109】 出演。
世界のトップアーティストの単独来日公演のツアーにも 抜擢され数多くの世界のトップアーティストと共演を果たす。
近年では「ALAN WALKER」の単独公演「ALAN WALKER JAPAN TOUR 2018」や「MARSHMELLO」初となる大型単独来日公演「MARSHMELLO JAPAN TOUR 2019」のメインステージのサポートDJとして抜擢された。
メインストリームだけでなく、アンダーグランドに強く昨年「ASTRIX」「Vini Vici」「GMS」の単独来日公演のメインステージのサポートDJを全て務める。

これまで国内でのオフィシャルリリースはコンピレーション、DJ MIXアルバムにシングルを40作品以上にのぼる。
2024年今春には「DJ YAGI」自身初となる完全オリジナル楽曲のフル・アルバム『PSYCHEDELIC LABORATORY』3部作シリーズとなる完全オリジナル・フル・アルバムを3タイトルで新曲全33曲リリースを果たす。
リズム構築力と安定したビルドアップによって、音数や変化の多さに頼りすぎないサイケデリックトランスを実現している。
低音を走らせるビート展開はシンプルな足し算により高揚感を増していく様に、盛り込み過ぎに対しての注意深さを大切にしてあり、DJ YAGIの世界観を重視している作品に仕上がっている。

地元新潟県での知名度は高くジャンルレスに広く活躍。
ラジオ局 FM-NIIGATA 77.5で自身がメインパーソナリティーを務める DJ MIX 音楽番組「LIVE MIXXX」 毎週金曜日19時から2時間生放送でOA中。
J1 リーグアルビレックス新潟の公式サポーターソング(応援歌)「Champion」も担当(2020年〜)

Started his DJ career in 2002 with the psychedelic trance genre as his identity.
Plays more than 150 DJ SETs a year at major clubs and festivals across Japan.
Highly praised for his outstanding mix work that rocks the vibe of the floor and his original sound story.

Performed four consecutive times at ULTRA JAPAN, Japan’s largest EDM festival, in 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023.
Performed at SUMMER SONIC 2109, Japan’s largest comprehensive music festival, in 2019.
Selected for tours of solo performances by top artists from around the world, he has performed with many of the world’s top artists.
In recent years, he was selected as a support DJ for the main stage of ALAN WALKER’s solo performance “ALAN WALKER JAPAN TOUR 2018” and MARSHMELLO’s first large-scale solo performance in Japan “MARSHMELLO JAPAN TOUR 2019”.
Not only is he a strong DJ in the mainstream, but he also supports the main stage of ASTRIX, Vini Vici, and GMS’ solo performances in Japan last year.

To date, he has released more than 40 official compilations, DJ MIX albums, and singles in Japan.
In the spring of 2024, DJ YAGI will release his first completely original full album of songs, “PSYCHEDELIC LABORATORY”, a trilogy of completely original full albums, with a total of 33 new songs in three titles.
His rhythm-building ability and stable build-up make it possible to create a psychedelic trance that does not rely too much on the number of sounds or changes.
The bass-driven beat is developed with care to avoid overloading the music, as the simple additions add to the uplifting feeling, resulting in a work that emphasizes DJ YAGI’s worldview.

He is well-known in his hometown of Niigata Prefecture and is active across a wide range of genres.
He is the main personality of the DJ MIX music program “LIVE MIXXX” on radio station FM-NIIGATA 77.5, which is broadcast live for two hours every Friday from 7pm.
He is also in charge of “Champion,” the official supporter song for the J1 League team Albirex Niigata (since 2020).
